>> The 7 Chakra-s Intensive Weekend Workshop with Thomas English and Ronela Vainio of Anuttara >>
Seen somewhat as a mystery in the west, the 7 chakra-s are our fundamental means by which we live and communicate with the universe. This is an age old system developed by the wise of India, for us to gain greater harmony over our physical, emotional, and mental self.
Thomas and Ronela will present a clear understanding of the 7 chakra-s and through the practice and lectures will give you different techniques and methods to balance, purify and activate the chakra-s. From asana (bodily posture) and breath-work, to music and meditation, you will pass through each of the chakra-s in detail, with reference to traditional teachings. The practice sessions (seven in total) will aim at activating each and every chakra. This course will help give practitioners a greater understanding and experience into the seven chakra-s.

>> Kids and Yoga >>
Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem and body awareness with a physical activity that's noncompetitive. Fostering cooperation and compassion—instead of opposition—is a great gift to give kids.
Kids derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improves. Doing yoga, kids exercise, play, connect more deeply with the inner self, and develop an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them.
We are hoping to offer a series of Yoga classes that are geared towards Kids and Teens in the very near future. Please let us know if this may interest your child or someone you know.
To learn more please visit us at the upcoming Science World at Northwest Community College. The Wild Lotus gang will be there as exhibitors showcasing the Art + Science of Yoga for Kids.
Date: Saturday October 16th
