MMC Insight
Friends of Shames has developed a Feasibility Study and Business plan that shows how My Mountain Co-op will be sustainable, innovative and efficient over the next five years. Should My Mountain Co-op purchase Shames Mountain on April 30th, 2011, these plans will guide MMC operations. Plans provide:

Win-win partnership arrangements, like the one with Northwest Community College.
Innovative ways to expand the revenue base
Great ideas ‘YOU’ contributed at the BUZZ held in February 2010.
Opportunities to reduce costs and move towards “greener” operations
Long-term perspective on the required maintenance and upgrades of lifts and equipment
Terrain expansion opportunities and the associated costs.
Findings related to potential land development.
Ideas on how to best serve Northwest communities as a key recreation/tourism area.

The MCC Hubs
We are also thrilled to announce MMC’s home base will be opening March 1st at the Kwinitsa Foreman’s Residence right (corner of Hwy 16 and the overpass in Terrace). It’s an amazing space and location. Great for transportation to/from the mountain, highly visible and in the same building as summer ice cream sales.

Be on the lookout for the MMC Ambassadors on location at Shames Mountain. A booth in Galloway’s Lounge will sell memberships, provide information and resources, gather feedback and answer questions.
